Nick Easton Headed To Injured Reserve With Neck Injury,Likely Out For Season

The Vikings projected starting left guard Nick Easton underwent surgery Thursday morning to correct a herniated disc in his neck. He is likely out for the season, but it is not expected to be a career-ending injury, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.Vikings coach Mike Zimmer confirmed Thursday afternoon that Easton is headed to injured reserve.
"Nothing really happened," Zimmer said of how Easton got hurt. "He's got a bulging disc. I'm not going to talk about it."
Easton spent the first part of training camp filling in at center with Pat Elflein on the Physically Unable to Perform list as he recovers from a shoulder and ankle injuries. Easton had not practiced since last Friday, and a source told the Pioneer Press earlier this week that the 26-year-old guard was dealing with discomfort in his neck.
In his absence, the Vikings have used former practice-squad member Cornelius Edison as their starting center. With Easton undergoing surgery, Elflein on the PUP list and Mike Remmers dealing with an ankle sprain, the team could be without three interior linemen in Saturday night’s preseason opener against Denver.
While the Vikings are counting on Remmers to help fill the hole created by the retirement of right guard Joe Berger, they’ll have to sort through their options on the left side of the line.
The Vikings likely will lean on players such as Tom Compton, who roomed with quarterback Kirk Cousins for two seasons in Washington before joining the team this year. The Rosemount native has played left guard in Easton’s absence this week, and Zimmer said the Vikings had their eye on Compton for the past three years.
“When he was at Washington, he played quite a bit; he played in some of their big packages, played some on the offensive line, had multiple positions,” Zimmer said. “We felt like he’d be good.”
I have tried to communicate with you, but invalid, I envy my desk Li Moumou,
his mediocre performance, but talking about parents are enraptured, I envy those
who know the book master and their children. He said that his son, Zhou Haoying,
"completely liberated", "let it go, tried not to give him blow, or even not
against his favorite"; Liang Qichao said to his daughter, "failed to enter the
university, Liang Shikuang recalled his father Liang Shuming said that his
father's education is "trust and open-style", and once he took the 59 points, he
took the make-up notice to the father to his father, Look, the father only one
returned to his son, that means "their own things themselves" ... ... these
children by the trust and encouragement, and later have a breath. Mom, you know
I envy them?
Three months ago, a hundred days after the oath, one afternoon after school, the
school radio came Hackberry song: "When you are still still fantasy / your
tomorrow, it will be okay or worse for me, Another day / I have ruined my
everything, I just want to leave forever / I have fallen into endless darkness,
want to struggle can not extricate themselves / I used to like you like him like
wildflowers / desperate desire, cry also laugh Ordinary with ... ... "I walked
more slowly, went to the school gate suddenly tears ran, that day I simply cried
in the lake like a dark faint black hero, crying I quietly back to the classroom
late study hall. Mom, this is what you do not know.
Some people criticized the contemporary Chinese education, saying that the
education of genius, and the so-called genius education results most of the
people is not an ordinary qualification to become a genius, but he twisted into
a low-grade deformed children. I asked myself I was not a deformed child,
mother, I feel lucky, but I am disturbed that I was like in the volume of
education in this, I do not know is my tomorrow, it will be okay? Our tomorrow,
will it please?
Mom, I'm still willing to test a higher score, use it to return you. However,
after tomorrow, no matter how many points I test, you and my father can happily
celebrate my high school graduation, okay?
